My child isn't able to hold their breath long enough to do front crawl. Is there anything we can do outside of lessons to help?

The amount of time that a child can hold their breath is unique to each child. Just practicing holding their breath will increase their lung capacity, however that would be super boring. I recommend playing games that involve going underwater. Games like colours, underwater tag, or even throwing objects down into the bottom of the pool and having your child retrieve them will help their breath control.

My child keeps on having to repeat a level in swimming because they can not have their nose go underwater. What do I do?

Going underwater can be a daunting experience for kids. There are a couple ways to get kids to put their whole face underwater but it all relies on trust. Going underwater with your child, giving them goggles and noseplugs, and having them play specially designed games that make your child have fun while going underwater will help.
